SSC CGL Tier 1 2017 Cut off Marks:

Well now that the exam results are knocking on the door, it best that we look at the SSC CGL 2017 tier 1 expected cut off marks. After the release of the SSC CGL Tier 1 answer key 2017, students noticed that the question paper this year was far more difficult and this lead many to demand normalization of the score. The Tier 1 exam took over the course of 15 days and as we said earlier, close to 16 lakh candidates attended. The difficulty level coupled with the number of candidates who took the exam, making a cut this year pretty difficult, we must say.

If you recall, last year the cut-off score was 137 and we predict that this year the SSC CGL expected cut off 2017 Tier 1 is going to less, say 117-122. This is just a speculation for now until the result is out on 31 October 2017.

Here's a list of category-based expected cutoff marks:

  • Unreserved (UR): 130-140
  • Other Backward Class (OBC): 120-130
  • Scheduled Castes (SC): 110-120
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 100-110
  • Ex-Servicemen (Ex.S): 90-100
  • Hearing Handicapped (OH): 95-100
  • Visually Handicapped (VH): 60-70
  • Hearing Handicapped (HH): 20-30
Note: As of now, the cut-off marks for this years hasn't been announced. We'll get to know about it only when SSC CGL Result 2017 Tier 1 come out and therefore we must sight tight for 31 October to arrive.
