SSC CGL Online 2017: Here's Everything You Need to Know

SSC CGL online: The Combined Graduate Level is conducted by Staff Selection Commission every year in order to recruit people into Government service. The examinations take place in 4 stages and it's only after to pass one stage that you get to appear in the next one. Once qualifies, you will be hired under two groups, namely Group B and Group C. SSC CGL Salary


The salary varies from posts to posts. The pay package can be something between 9300-34800 or 5200-20200. When you get the job, know that whatever they are paying you, there's security in it and also as you get promoted the pay will increase. For now, all you need to do is concentrate on getting qualified in Tier I, then Tier II, so on and so forth. When you get the job work hard so that you are promoted early and get a better salary.

SSC CGL 2017 Vacancies


Every year there are a couple thousands of vacancies and this year the SSC CGL has 4733 vacancies. But the competition is incredibly tough because almost 16 lakh candidates have appeared for the SSC CGL 2017 Tier 1 exam. So best of luck. You'd need that.

SSC CGL 2017 Eligibility Criteria


Of course, the criteria differ from posts. Take a look the age limits of the following post under SSC CGL online. This is only to give you an idea of how things work.

  1. Statistical Investigator Grade II: 32 years (max)
  2. Assistant Enforcement Officer/SI in NIA/SI in CBI: 30 years
  3. Assistant in IB: 21 – 30 years
  4. Assistant in CSS: 20 – 30 years
  5. SI in Central Bureau of Narcotics: 18 – 27 years, etc.


Note: By government standard, age relaxations are set at 5 years for SC/St, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PWD.

SSC CGL 2017 Exam Dates

SSC CGL 2017 Exam Pattern 


Well, the exam patterns are pretty similar to that of last years. In Tier 1, you have computer-based Objective Multiple Choice, Tier 2 has computer-based Objective Multiple Choice, Tier 3 offers pen and paper mode for Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi and the last Tier, in Tier 4 you'll have to take Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test.
